Last Sunday we played at ART OPEN in Eschweiler. As always it was great to play in Eschweiler. We have been looked after the girls and guys of Mexi & Co at the Market square. There we started our sunny Sunday to play for the super audience of Eschweiler supported by wonderfull art, dancing kids, listening to and playing together with other musicians like the Sambaband DIVERSÃO!, the Altena Jazz Band, the Regio Big Band and many more.
Below a short impression of that beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Because of a wedding anniversary, the Hurricane Brass Band was invited to perform a gospel song during the mass on Sunday 27 March, as a surprise, together with the church choir St. Cecilia St. Pieter Beneden. The choir, the audience and the band enjoyed this very much!
During and after the mass, besides the church choir, the Hurricane Brass Band also played a few songs, for which we were complimented afterwards (thanks for that!). After the mass we went on a ‘congratulations round’ with two birthday boys and girls and had our musical Sunday breakfast.

A long time ago (in 2006) there was an …….. interview in the Dew Drop Inn in New Orleans in which the band members from the very beginning (Hugo and René) were interviewed by an American television station. In the interview, they explain (in English) how the Hurricane Brass Band originated in Maastricht.
The interview below is a true collector’s item!
