Hurricanes Brassband Brings New Orleans Street Music to JekerJazz Maastricht
And off we went again!
Despite navigating the many regulations, permits, and requirements imposed by the Municipality of Maastricht and its various departments, the Hurricanes once again found their way back to the streets.
On Saturday afternoon, October 10, we performed among the bustling crowds in the city centre as part of JekerJazz , and, perhaps even more importantly, simply because we love doing it. Thanks to the warm hospitality of café ‘t Pothuiske, De Knijnspiep, In de Tenne Kan and the Vogelstruys, we enjoyed another fantastic afternoon filled with music, atmosphere, and good company in our beloved Maastricht.
As hurricanes are not always easy to capture, we also took some time to pose for a few “static” photos this time around.

Our next performance is scheduled during an afternoon of short film screenings organized by Peter Brouwers. Unfortunately, this event is invitation-only. The good news, however, is that requests for next year’s performances are already starting to come in, so you’re definitely not rid of us yet!
