A beautiful look back at a time when the true New Orleans brass band sound still echoed through the streets of the Jazz Ascona festival. The Hurricane Brassband had the privilege of taking to the stage — and the streets — several times alongside unforgettable New Orleans legends: Steve Burke, Thomas L’Etienne, Benny Jones and the always‑missed ‘Uncle Lionel’ Batiste. Lillian Boutté added her own special magic to those moments as well.

These are memories we truly cherish — not only for the music, but for the warmth, craftsmanship and friendship of these remarkable people.

    Moments that stay with us.

  • On a beautiful ‘Kunstroute’-Sunday …

During the annual art route Rondje Watertoren in Schimmert, the Hurricane Brassband once again made its presence heard. On Sunday April 25, under a radiant sun, surrounded by an enthusiastic audience with a keen eye for art, we were warmly welcomed by Marjo and Jan. Making music in the intimate atmosphere of a charming courtyard… what more could a brass band wish for.
